Overview
The Sungrow WiNet-S2 is the communication module that plugs into the COM port of a Sungrow inverter and sends data over WLAN (2.4 GHz) or Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) to iSolarCloud. One module serves one inverter. Through the module's built-in Wi-Fi hotspot the iSolarCloud app connects locally without internet for commissioning and parameter settings; remotely, users monitor yield, status and alarms. The WiNet-S2 is required for systems with Sungrow optimizers or a WiMeter.

According to the compatibility table in the WiNet manual the WiNet-S2 fits, among others, the SH3.0-6.0RS, SH8.0/10RS, SH5.0/6.0RS-20, SH5T-25T, SG3.0-10RS and SG6.0/8.0/10RT; the newer Sungrow compatibility list (version 4.4, July 2026) also lists the WiNet-S or WiNet-S2 for the SH5.0-10RT and SH5.0-10RT-20. SH-RS inverters ship with a WiNet module; this separate module serves as a replacement or spare. Powered by the inverter (5 V DC), housing 48 x 132 x 36 mm, IP66. For commercial installations with several inverters use the Logger1000A-EU or COM100D-EU.
