Overview
The Sungrow AC22E-01 is an AC charger for electric vehicles with a tethered Type 2 charging cable (5 m, 7 m optional) and in this version a built-in MID-certified energy meter for accurate metering of the charged energy. Charging power is configurable to 22 kW or 11 kW on a three-phase connection (32 A / 16 A) and 7.4 kW on a single-phase connection. 6 mA DC fault current detection is built in; an external RCBO/RCD type A or B and a circuit breaker according to IEC 62955 are required.

With a Sungrow hybrid inverter (SH-RT, SH-RS or SH-T) the AC22E-01 charges via iSolarCloud in eco, fast, scheduled or customised mode; according to the Sungrow compatibility list (version 4.4, July 2026) this works without iHomeManager only with one charger on an SH-RT; with the iHomeManager up to three AC22E-01 or AC22E-G2 chargers work with SH-RT, SH-RS, SH-T or SG-RT. Adaptive load management (ALM) needs an additional Sungrow energy meter. Start via plug & play, RFID card or app; management via OCPP 1.6J.
Housing 214 x 346 x 125 mm, less than 6.65 kg, IP65 and IK10, -30 to 50 °C. Wall mounting as standard, pole mounting optional. Communication via RS485 (to inverter or meter), WLAN, Ethernet and 4G. The version without MID is a separate item.
