Overview
The Hoymiles MS-A2 (MS-A2-FX) is an AC-coupled storage system for balcony plants and small PV systems with 2240 Wh LiFePO4. The microinverter connects to the MS-A2 (up to 1800 VA input) and the MS-A2 feeds 800 VA to the grid through its on-grid port, adjustable up to 1000 VA in the S-Miles Home app. According to Hoymiles it works with all microinverters; two units can be linked for 4480 Wh.

The off-grid Schuko outlet supplies 800 VA and briefly 1200 VA for 10 s. Battery: at least 6000 cycles, charging 0 to +55 °C, discharging -20 to +55 °C. Operation and monitoring via Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi in the app; ETSI EN 303 645 cybersecurity certification, IEC 62619 and VDE-AR-N 4105.
Enclosure 455 × 220 × 457 mm, 32 kg, IP65 (except the standard AC socket), natural convection, floor or wall mounting; the wall-mount kit is sold separately. Hoymiles grants a warranty of 10 years or 6000 cycles.
