The Hoymiles HiBattery 1920 AC (HB-1920-AC-SV) is an AC-coupled plug-in battery of 1.92 kWh LiFePO4 for balcony solar systems. The grid port delivers 800 VA nominal (adjustable up to 2000 VA in the S-Miles Home app) and the battery takes up to 1800 VA; the off-grid Schuko outlet supplies 800 VA and briefly 1200 VA for 10 s. With built-in self-heating it charges and discharges from -20 to +55 °C, and Hoymiles states at least 6000 cycles, 96.5 percent maximum bidirectional efficiency and 87 percent round-trip efficiency.

The microinverter connects to the off-grid entry with the MS Off-Grid cable and the battery plugs into the wall socket with the MS Plug-and-Play cable; as an AC battery it can also work on a socket without a PV connection. Control via Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi in the S-Miles Home app, with self-consumption and TOU modes; a grid smart meter such as the Shelly Pro 3EM or Ecotracker can be linked. Two units can be stacked in one system (parallel cable and mounting kit sold separately).
Dimensions 460 × 240 × 203 mm (L × W × H), 24 kg, IP66, natural cooling without fans (below 17 dB(A)), internal fire extinguisher and pressure relief valves. Wall or floor mounting with a separately available kit. Compliant with VDE-AR-N 4105:2018, IEC 62619, IEC 63056 and UN 38.3. Hoymiles grants 10 years of warranty in Europe, with 70 percent capacity retention or 5.612 MWh throughput.
