Overview
The Sungrow S800S is a single-phase microinverter of 800 W (800 VA) with 2 independent MPP inputs for 2 PV modules of 375-570 W. MPPT range 16 to 60 V, max. 60 V DC and max. 16 A input current per input, so each module is optimised individually. Efficiency 96.2% max. / 95.4% EU, IP67 and C5 corrosion resistance, natural cooling, max. AC current 3.6 A.

Sungrow names balcony and rooftop PV systems as applications; module-level monitoring runs over WLAN to iSolarCloud. The inverter is fixed to the mounting rail and daisy-chained with the separately ordered Sungrow T-type AC cable; according to the datasheet max. 6 units per branch with 2.5 mm² (local rules take precedence). Other sizes: S450S and S1600S.
Housing 265 x 226 x 42 mm, 3.5 kg, operating temperature -40 to 65 °C. Grid monitoring, leakage current protection, rapid shutdown and AC type II surge protection are built in.
