Overview
The Hoymiles MIT-5000-8E is a three-phase microinverter for eight PV modules with four MPPTs (one input per MPPT, up to 20 A per input). It delivers 5000 VA (peak 5500 VA) at 230/400 V, 3L+N+PE, with 3 × 7.25 A output current and targets modules of 600-750+ Wp with 182 or 210 mm cells. Maximum input voltage 140 V, MPPT range 12 to 136 V.

According to the datasheet an AC branch takes 3 units on 2.5 mm², 4 on 4 mm² or 5 on 6 mm² (local rules prevail). The AC connection uses the three-phase Flex-T5 cable system (HMT cable system); single-phase HMS/Flex-S3 cabling does not fit. Communication with S-Miles Cloud runs over 2.4 GHz; confirm the DTU choice with Hoymiles or the supplier.
Peak efficiency 97.7 percent, EU weighted 96.8 percent, MPPT 99.8 percent, night consumption below 50 mW. Enclosure 395 × 308 × 60 mm, 8.6 kg, IP67, natural convection, -40 to +65 °C, compliant with EN 50549-1 and EN 50549-10. Warranty under the Hoymiles EU terms (12 years for MiT).
