Overview
The Marstek Venus-E 3.0 (model MST-BIE5-2500) is an AC-coupled plug-in home battery of 5.12 kWh LiFePO4 (51.2 V, 16S) with 90 percent DoD and more than 6000 cycles at 25 °C. It connects to the grid with a three-wire plug (Euro 16 A), without a hybrid inverter or DC cabling, and according to Marstek works alongside any existing PV system.

Charging runs at 2.5 kVA; discharging at 800 VA by default and at 2.5 kVA after release (single-phase L/N/PE, 230 V, 10.9 A). During a grid outage the backup socket (Euro) supplies 2.5 kVA and 3.5 kVA for 10 s. Maximum battery-to-AC efficiency above 93.5 percent. IP65, natural cooling, -20 to 55 °C, 480 x 624 x 153 mm (w x h x d), 60 kg; upright on the floor or on the wall with the supplied bracket.
The battery regulates to zero feed-in with the Marstek CT002 or CT003 or with supported meters from Shelly, Everhome and HomeWizard; with several units Marstek advises three-phase total compensation. Communication via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet and RS485, with a local Open API for energy management systems. With the Marstek SmartBox a three-phase setup of up to 22.5 kW and 46.08 kWh is possible.
