Overview
The Hoymiles HYS-12.0LV-EUG2 is a second-generation single-phase hybrid inverter with 12000 W rated power (13200 VA) for 48 V low-voltage batteries of 40 to 60 V, with up to 240 A charge and discharge current (12000 W) and BMS communication via CAN. The datasheet lists Li-ion; lead-acid support is announced there as coming soon. The PV side has 2 MPPTs for up to 4 strings with 32 A per MPPT (short-circuit current 40 A), a recommended PV power up to 15600 Wp, an MPPT range of 125 to 500 V, a start-up voltage of 150 V and a maximum input voltage of 550 V.

On grid failure the backup output switches over within 10 ms; it supplies a rated 12000 W (up to 52.2 A continuous) and briefly 23000 VA for 10 s. Hoymiles' compatible battery list (REV3.10) includes for this series the Hoymiles LB-(5-20)S-G1 and LB-(5-20)S-G2 and the Dyness DL5.0C and Powerbox G2. According to the manual, a smart meter and CT are in the accessory box; up to 10 inverters can run in parallel. MPPT efficiency 99.9 percent, maximum 97.6 percent, EU efficiency 97.0 percent, maximum output current 57.4 A.
Enclosure 502 × 740 × 202 mm (W × H × D), 41 kg, IP65, active cooling with fans (smart cooling, below 40 dB), wall mounting, -25 to +65 °C (derating above 45 °C). RS485, one DI and two DO; monitoring via a Wi-Fi DTS, Ethernet and 4G DTS are listed as coming soon in the datasheet. Grid connection to EN 50549 and NRS 097-2-1, safety to IEC 62109-1/-2. Hoymiles grants 10 years of warranty on this storage inverter in Europe.
