Overview
The Hoymiles LB-5S-G1-PackA is the expansion pack (Pack A) of the LB-(5-20)S-G1 low-voltage battery: one 5.12 kWh LFP module (100 Ah, 51.2 V) stacked between the control box and the bottom Pack B. According to the Hoymiles manual a tower holds zero to three Pack A modules, expanding the LB-5S-G1 (5.12 kWh) to the LB-10S, LB-15S or LB-20S-G1 (20.48 kWh). Based on the datasheet values each extra module adds 48 kg and 267.7 mm of height.

System data according to the Hoymiles datasheet: LiFePO4, 51.2 V nominal, voltage range 44.8 to 57.6 V, 0.5C charge and discharge, maximum 2.56 kW (LB-5S) up to 7.68 kW (LB-15S and LB-20S), 90 percent recommended depth of discharge, 6000 cycles (25 °C, 0.5C, 70 percent EOL), IP65 for indoor and outdoor use, charging 0 to +50 °C and discharging -10 to +50 °C, CAN and RS485 to the inverter, IEC 62619, UN 38.3 and CE-EMC. Parallel connection of towers is not supported.
The LB-(5-20)S-G1 is on Hoymiles' compatible battery list for the HYS-(3.0-6.0)LV-EUG1, HAS-(3.0-5.0)LV-EUG1 and HYS-(8.0-12.0)LV-EUG2. Hoymiles grants 10 years of warranty on the LB series in Europe.
