Overview
The Cobalt east-west connector base L=2450 mm, black, is the base support of the Cobalt east-west flat-roof system: two modules rest back to back on one support, one facing east and one facing west. Cobalt does not publish a separate article number for the black version; the silver 2450 mm support is art. 1212450. According to Cobalt a complete east-west installation is built from just four basic components and the aerodynamic design needs a minimum of ballast; the supports have integrated cable management. The supports are pre-assembled and connect tool-free with a twist-and-click movement. Cobalt supplies the east-west support in 2380 and 2450 mm; the manual gives 2450 mm as the standard centre-to-centre distance and the correct length follows from CoBuilder. The modules are tilted at 10 degrees, for module widths of 950 to 1140 mm (up to 1060 mm on position P1, above that on P2) and 30 to 45 mm frames; clamps are tightened to 4.5 Nm. Ballast goes into ballast containers, ballast trays or onto ballast holders according to the ballast plan; the array edges are closed with the landscape/east-west side plate. Warranty: 20 years under the Cobalt warranty conditions.
