Overview
The Kstar SPC01 is a Power Control Box for power limitation and zero export in line with local grid codes. Kstar uses it with three-phase grid-tied Kstar PV inverters from 3 to 125 kW, which it controls over RS-485; the built-in smart meter measures the power on the grid side of the PV installation in real time. Each of the five RS-485 terminals serves up to 16 inverters, up to 80 in total, over a distance of up to 1000 m. Zero-export control accuracy is 3 %. Shutdown on communication failure and remote updates are supported. Input voltage is 230 V (L-N) or 400 V (L-L), with a range of 173 to 480 V. The box connects to the internet via Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G (optional); setup is done via Bluetooth. The IP65 enclosure measures 420 × 320 × 132 mm, weighs 5.3 kg and is for wall or rack mounting.
