Overview
The Hyxi HYX-EBDU-H is the battery control unit (BDU) of the Hyxi high-voltage battery HYX-E50/100/150/200-H. A column consists of a base (5.6 kg), one to four HYX-E50B-H packs and the HYX-EBDU-H BDU on top; this gives the systems HYX-E50-H to HYX-E200-H with 5.3 to 21.2 kWh (4.5 to 18.0 kWh usable) and 102.4 to 409.6 V nominal.

The BDU weighs 9 kg and communicates with the inverter via CAN and RS485. Four LEDs show the state of charge (25, 50, 75 and 100 percent), two LEDs operation and alarm. The BDU carries an emergency stop switch, the HV+ and HV- connections, the inverter connection and separate buttons for the 12 V and the high-voltage supply. Maximum charge and discharge current of the system is 35 A, protection rating IP65 (packs IP67), operating temperature -10 to +50 °C. The BMS reports overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, overtemperature and short circuit.
The Hyxi product page of the H battery lists the three-phase hybrid inverters HYX-H5K-HT to HYX-H12K-HT and HYX-H15K-HT to HYX-H25K-HT as recommended combination. Hyxi provides a 10-year warranty under its European warranty terms.
