HYXI Halo makes energy storage more accessible with plug-in technology

The HYXI Halo is a compact AC-coupled energy storage system built around a simple plug-in application. The system offers an accessible approach to small-scale energy storage for homes.
What is the HYXI Halo?
The HYXI Halo (HYX-MS3000AC) is a plug-in home battery with a built-in bidirectional inverter. The unit connects to a wall socket with the supplied 3 metre AC cable and stores surplus energy from an existing PV installation.
Key characteristics
- 3014 Wh LiFePO4 storage per unit
- 800 W grid-tied output by default; 1500 W via the app where local rules allow
- Expandable with up to five HYX-MS3000B expansion batteries of 3014 Wh each; with an expansion battery the maximum charge and discharge power rises to 3000 W
- Off-grid output during a grid outage: 1500 VA, or 3000 VA with an expansion battery
- IP66, operation from -20 to +55 °C, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, RS485 for an external EMS
- Optional HYXI smart meter or P1 meter
Application for installers
The Halo is intended for small-scale storage in homes with an existing PV installation. Because the system is AC-coupled and connects via a wall socket, the existing inverter stays in use. For an AC unit with one expansion battery, BM Energy supplies the HYX-MS-6000 KIT (6028 Wh combined).
Always check the local connection conditions and the applicable rules for feed-in power.
