Overview
The Hoymiles HAT-8.0HV-EUG1 is a three-phase AC-coupled storage inverter of 8000 W (8800 VA) without a PV input, for high-voltage batteries of 170 to 600 V (Li-ion) with up to 30 A charge and discharge current (8000 W). It adds storage to an existing three-phase PV installation without replacing the PV inverter; charging follows the battery BMS via CAN.

On grid failure the backup output (3L/N/PE) switches over within 10 ms; it supplies 8000 W continuously and briefly 16000 VA for 10 s. According to the manual, a smart meter with three or six CTs and a DTS stick are in the accessory box; for grid currents above 100 A another meter or CT is needed via Hoymiles. Hoymiles' compatible battery list (REV3.10) includes Hoymiles HB-(10-23)S-G2, BYD HVS/HVM, Dyness PowerRack HV and Tower T7-T17, and Pylontech Force H. Maximum efficiency 97.5 percent, maximum output current 13.3 A per phase.
Enclosure 502 × 486 × 202 mm (W × H × D), 23 kg, IP65, natural convection, wall mounting, -25 to +65 °C (derating above 45 °C). Transformerless battery topology, RS485 and optional Wi-Fi or Ethernet via DTS, DRM with one DI and two DO. Compliant with EN 50549, VDE-AR-N 4105, TOR Erzeuger Type A, IEC 62109-1/-2 and IEC 62477-1. Hoymiles grants 10 years of warranty on this storage inverter in Europe.
