Overview
The KSTAR EMS01D is the optional second-level EMS communication box for BluePulse storage systems in which several PCS from the KAC50DP2 or KAC125DP2 series run in parallel. It connects up to 20 subordinate EMS units over Ethernet (10/100 Mbps, up to 100 m); data for the cloud platform, IEC-104 and Modbus TCP is routed through the box. Northbound, the EMS01D communicates over Ethernet (electrical or optical fibre) by default, with WLAN or 4G as options; configuration and local monitoring run through an embedded web interface. It provides seven RS-485 ports, eight digital inputs, four digital outputs (NO+NC), USB and an SD slot. The power supply is redundant (90–264 VAC and 13–36 VDC), and standby consumption stays below 40 W. The IP65 enclosure measures 560 × 600 × 300 mm, weighs 35 kg, operates from -30 to +55 °C and is wall-, bracket- or floor-mounted.
