Overview
The Sungrow SBH battery module (PACK) of 5.0 kWh is the building block of the SBH100 to SBH400 high-voltage battery: LiFePO4 cells, 72 Ah, 45 kg and 675 x 160 x 350 mm per module. Two to eight modules in series give 10 to 40 kWh per stack with up to 50 A continuous charge and discharge, up to 100 % usable capacity (DoD settable), IP55 and CAN communication. Nominal power runs from 7.04 kW (SBH100) to 28.16 kW (SBH400).

Besides the modules an SBH system consists of a base, a switch gear (with DC circuit breaker and BMU) and a top cover; these parts are not included with this module. According to the Sungrow compatibility list (version 4.4, July 2026) the SBH works with the SH3.0-6.0RS (SBH100 to SBH250, 2 to 5 modules, one tower), the SH5.0-10RT V112 and SH5.0-10RT-20 (SBH150 to SBH400, 3 to 8 modules, one tower) and the SH5T up to SH25T, such as the Sungrow SH15T, SH20T and SH25T (SBH100 to SBH400, 2 to 8 modules). On the SH-T two towers of equal capacity can be connected with Y connectors (up to 80 kWh); Sungrow recommends at least three modules for full charge and discharge power.
Adding modules is only done in consultation with Sungrow and following the Sungrow procedure. Warranty according to the Sungrow warranty terms for residential batteries.
