Overview
The Sungrow SH8.0RT is an 8 kW three-phase hybrid inverter from the first SH-RT generation (hardware version V112, Sungrow item ASH00106); it is not the SH8.0RT-20. The inverter has two MPPTs (1 / 1 strings, max. 12.5 A per MPPT) with an MPPT range of 200 to 950 V, max. 1000 V DC and a recommended PV power of up to 12000 Wp. The battery input works from 150 to 600 V with max. 30 A charge and discharge current (max. 10600 W). Rated AC power 8000 W (3/N/PE, max. 12.1 A), efficiency 98.4 % max. and 97.9 % European.

During a grid outage the SH8.0RT switches to backup within 20 ms; backup peak power is 12000 VA for 5 minutes, provided PV and battery supply enough. According to the Sungrow compatibility list (version 4.4, July 2026) this V112 version works with the SBR battery (SBR064 to SBR256, one tower, SBR064 limited to 20 A) and with the SBH battery (SBH150 to SBH400, 3 to 8 modules, one tower). The box contains the direct-connected DTSU666 energy meter and the WiNet-S communication module; monitoring and remote firmware updates via iSolarCloud. Up to five inverters can run in master-slave parallel operation on the grid.
Enclosure 460 x 540 x 170 mm, 27 kg, IP65, natural convection (30 dB(A)) and wall mounting with bracket. Communication RS485, WLAN, Ethernet and CAN, 4 DI and 1 DO. DC switch and type II surge protection on DC and AC are built in.
