Overview
The Sungrow SH20T is a three-phase hybrid inverter of 20 kW for large homes, apartment associations and small commercial buildings with a recommended PV power of up to 40000 Wp. Three MPPTs (2 / 2 / 1 strings, max. 16 A per string), MPPT range 150 to 950 V, max. 1000 V DC and an efficiency of 98.2 % / 97.8 % (max/EU). The battery port works from 100 to 700 V with up to 50 A charge and discharge.

Sungrow releases the SBR battery (SBR096 to SBR256, with the Sungrow SBR module SMR032) and the SBH battery (SBH100 to SBH400, with the Sungrow SBH module 5.0 kWh), with the firmware versions listed in the manual. According to the Sungrow compatibility list (version 4.4, July 2026) two battery towers of the same model and capacity can be connected to one inverter with Y connectors (SBR up to 51.2 kWh, not in the DACH region; SBH up to 80 kWh); for the SBR Sungrow recommends at least four modules. The built-in 63 A bypass allows whole-home backup: switchover within 10 ms, 100 % unbalanced load, 20 kW rated and a peak of 32000 VA for 10 seconds if PV and battery supply enough. Rated AC current 30.4 A.
The box contains a WiNet-S2 module and a DTSU666-20 energy meter with three current transformers (100 A / 0.333 V). Enclosure 620 x 480 x 245 mm, 40 kg, IP65 and C5, fan cooling. Communication RS485, WLAN, Ethernet and CAN, AFCI support, monitoring via iSolarCloud. Warranty according to the Sungrow warranty terms for residential inverters up to 20 kW.
