Overview
The KSTAR BC197DE2 holds eleven 17.92 kWh LFP modules, 197.12 kWh in total, in one cluster with a nominal voltage of 704 V (operating range 627–792 V). Each module consists of 20 series-connected 280 Ah cells, delivers 64 V and weighs about 137 kg. KSTAR pairs this cabinet with a PCS from both the KAC50DP2 and the KAC80-125DP2 series; charging and discharging run at up to 0.5C (140 A), with the PCS limiting the power. The 1324 × 2415 × 1440 mm outdoor cabinet weighs about 2360 kg, is rated IP54 with corrosion class C4 and operates with air conditioning from -30 to +50 °C. Its own BMS and EMS unit, carbon monoxide detection, a sound and light alarm, an exhaust fan, an explosion vent and a fire-water inlet are built in. Communication via Ethernet, CAN and RS-485 with the CAN and Modbus TCP/IP protocols.
