Overview
The Sungrow SH5.0RT-20 is a three-phase hybrid inverter of 5.0 kW (3/N/PE, max. 7.6 A AC current) for homes and small commercial buildings with a home battery. Two MPPTs (1 / 1 strings) with an MPPT range of 150 to 950 V, max. 1000 V DC and a recommended PV power of up to 7500 W. The battery port works from 150 to 600 V with up to 30 A charge and discharge. Efficiency 98.0 % / 97.2 % (max/EU).

During a grid outage the inverter switches to backup within 20 ms; backup peak power 6000 VA for 5 minutes and 10000 VA for 10 seconds, if PV and battery supply enough. According to the Sungrow compatibility list (version 4.4, July 2026) the inverter works with the SBR battery (SBR064 to SBR256, one tower, SBR064 limited to 20 A) and with the SBH battery (SBH150 to SBH400, 3 to 8 modules, one tower); the firmware versions are listed in the manual. The package includes the DTSU666-20 energy meter with three current transformers (100 A / 0.333 V). The WiNet-S communication module is in the box; monitoring and remote firmware updates via iSolarCloud. Sungrow lists the AC011E-01 and AC22E-01 as compatible EV chargers.
Enclosure 460 x 540 x 170 mm, 27 kg, IP65, natural convection and wall mounting. Communication RS485, WLAN, Ethernet and CAN; DC switch, Type II surge protection on DC and AC and insulation resistance monitoring are built in.
