Overview
The Kstar E5KS-D22 is the 5 kW version of the single-phase BlueSpark series: a hybrid inverter that stacks as the top module on the LiFePO4 battery packs, with no loose wiring between the modules. Two MPPTs with one string each operate from 120 to 480 V at up to 500 V DC; Kstar recommends up to 10 kW of PV power at STC. On the grid the inverter delivers 5000 W at 230 V, and the backup output also 5000 W. The 48 V battery input charges and discharges at up to 120 A. Maximum PV efficiency is 97.2 % and European efficiency 96.4 %. The IP66 enclosure measures 725 × 390 × 245 mm. The inverter supports self-consumption, peak shaving, time-of-use and battery priority. Grid metering is set to CT by default; as a smart meter Kstar recommends the CHINT DDSU666.
